DSGN proudly accepts the Honor Award from Preservation Texas for its role in the restoration of the historic Heights Theater located in The Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas. Constructed in 1929, the theater has gone through several renovations (including one renovation after a fire in 1969), before it was restored by DSGN in 2016. DSGN’s goal of maintaining and restoring the existing historic facade and features while also returning the building to its original intended purpose as a performing arts space were a challenge we readily met, and it’s an honor for our effort to be acknowledged by Preservation Texas.
